“Good hotel with a few buts”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 August 2010

Stayed here 2 times. Generally, it's a quite nice hotel, which has probably the best possible location in Klaipeda. Here you can find spacious rooms with large beds, bathrooms with everything you might need, and other amenities you should expect from a hotel of this type, but there things you should know about, which majorly refer to service - those are not accidents, because they were proved to be true every day during my both stays:
1. They have 2 single comforters on double beds.
2. They don't give you a new shower gel even if you've used up about 3/4 of the existing one. You shouldn't forget to through an old one into a garbage can so as to get a replacement, otherwise you might face a risk of running out of gel the next day.
3. If you come for breakfast in 1 hour of it's beginning you might find the buffet almost completely picked over. The staff is very reluctant to refill the plates and prefers to chat at the counter - you should show them to every plate to get them start moving. If you tell them that scrambled eggs are over, they will refill scrambled eggs, but won't even look in the direction of empty croissant basket.
4. Every day the staff painstakingly set air-condition to 15 degrees. During my first stay it was +26 outside, so it didn't bother a lot, but during the second one it was +16. Their air-conditions chill perfectly, but are very slow on heating up, so once the temperature is dropped, it's hard to get it back. When I once came in the evening and had to sit a few hours in shoes and jacket on, because walls and floor were chilled out to +15, I scotched a note on a thermostat stating "Don't f***ing touch it!" - it worked and allowed the room to heat up to +23 the next day.

And in the end would like to say a few words about curious bathroom I had on the second stay: there was a window in it. If you take a bath it's probably perfectly located, but a bathtub doubles as a shower, so while standing you have the window right in front of you from knees to shoulders with semi-transparent curtain. I can only wonder if I'm already a porno star on the internet.

“Bad service, average room”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 18 August 2010

The room is spacious but very average, I would rate it as 3 star not 4. There was one nice staff at the reception and at the bar but the rest of the staff have been very unhelpful. If you leave behind anything, don't expect to get it back because I still haven't despite numerous phone calls and emails.

“Elegance without enough parking space”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 26 July 2010

Not really cheap but it's worth it - modern rooms with modern facilities. The hotel is located directly in the historic center of Klaipeda. The drawbacks: The advertised parking garage has been demolished so that there is very limited parking space by the hotel. The breakfast has been great on Saturday - but on Sunday we experienced a quite smaller variety of food (e.g. with rolls that have obviously baked the day before).

“average hotel”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 25 July 2010

We stayed here for 4 night in July. We opted for this having seen the sister hotel in Druskininkai. This is a small hotel and in my opinion very average. Having walked around I noted other hotels that if I came back to Klaipeda I would stay in. One issue for us was the noise from the building site across the road- which commenced on our first night there at 04.00. I know this is not the fault of the hotel but some warning would have been good, or a move to another room. The reception staff were helpful, Breakfast was a bit chaotic with empty dishes on the buffet that you had to ask to refill. On a positive note great location, near the port for trips to Nida.

“Excellent Hotel in Centre”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 August 2009

Excellent, spacious and clean accommodation and good breakfast buffet. Friendly staff. Located beside Theatre Square in centre and near to ferry for Curonian Spit and cycle hire. Some music noise from bar after 10pm. Good value for money if booked through internet.
