Fantastic location on a quite square just off the main old town square and a few feet from the main drag with all the restaurants.

Rooms are modern and well decked out with aircon (very important the week we were there), though there's no lift which may be an issue for some if you're on the 4th floor.

Breakfast was fine - usual bread, eggs, ham and cheese as well as local dishes such as peas with mayonnaise and pickled herring for the brave. Couple of hot options too. Didn't see the restaurant in action in the evening but we did make use of the outside tables for a couple of pre-dinner drinks which was nice.

Staff were lovely, and overall the hotel was great - our friends were all based further into the modern part of town and kept having to walk 20 mins into the old town and were very jealous!

stayed at the amberton for 4 nights on our recent trip to kaunas. the staff were all very friendly and helped us to plan our sightseeing. its definately worth getting the executive room- we had chocolate and bathrobes waiting for us.the breakfast was varied and we tried lots of new things each day. at such a reasonable price we would definately go back!

we did some great sightseeing- a few recommendations are the ninth fort, the communist museum, the open air heritage museum and for a bit of relaxation we went to the spa (cant remember the name -maybe aquapark-but it was in the south near the belarus border)

We arrived at Klaipda Hotel thinking we had been taken by the taxi driver to the wrong Hotel. Seeminly the name had been changed to Amberton Cozy,but we hadn't been fore-warned. Our first morning at breakfast (three of us) we decided itto have cereal, as it wasn't the best continental breakfast on offer. This was inpossible, as although we had bowls of cereal in our hands the waitress told us there was no milk, despite a hour of breakfast left. She made no attempt to get any and was completly disinterested in us. We had one pillow each on our beds which was very flat and we requested to have an extra one each as the room guide stated - we could ask for extra pillows etc. This again was not to be and we spend our three nights on flat pillows. The second day we were there are beds were left unmade. Our last night was so noisy, that I maybe managed to get one hour of sleep. Shouting and singing went on in the car park of the hotel all night and people were running up and down the stairs and shouting. There was no bar or restauranta nd this was not the hotel in the pictures when we booked.

For a nights stopover in Kaunas this hotels location is perfect - gentle walking distance to the old town. Friendly staff, stylish decor in the hotel and a free car park. ( The car park is quite small though to be fair - we just got parked).
We were accomodated in rooms on the top floor, 3 or 4 flights of stairs (there was no lift) which would be s struggle for older or less athletic folks. The room was very stylish and comfortable. However as the room was in the "attic" the slope of the roof cut down on the space and there were very many edges where we almost cracked our heads on. As the whole room is white im sure that many people will have impacted in some way on beams. The wifi was also problematic.
Overall however a comfortable stay in a friendly hotel.
