“Great wellness”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 August 2011

Good place to stay in Zilina, sometimes fully bookes, but that it's because KIA plant is in town and Korean managers love to stay in this place. Great view from PANORAMA bar and wellness. Restaurant there is very poor, for such a hotel I would expect much better service and quality of food, and also for such a price of food. Overall have to stay it is worth to stay there. No minibars in room and no wifi connection, there is cable connestion free of charge in the room.

Room Tip: have priority member club registration and wellness is free of charge :D

“Outstanding service”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 June 2011

Our rooms were comfy and the bathrooms were clean and reasonably big compare to EUROPE standards. We booked this hotel knowing that there was laundry facility. When we got there they told us they only have full service laundry and NO machines. The lady at the reception helped us out and took care of all our laundry for free. THATS SERVICE in my opinion for a holiday INN. A BIG THANK YOU
Also no parking fee and thats a rare in Europe.

“Better than expected from a Holiday Inn”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 28 May 2011

The public spaces are actually quite nice in this hotel, as you would expect from a normal hotel rather than a Holiday Inn. The food is also of a very good standard which was again a pleasant surprise.

The rooms are of a good standard and are perfectly comfortable, but there was a big problem with trying to get the rooms cool - the aircon just didnt seem to do any good at all - and bear in mind it was only 25 degrees ish so not the hottest weather ever. You can open the window but the air con goes off, and if you go out of the room you need to put something like a spare credit card in the room card slot inside your room if you want the air con to stay on whilst you are out and about. Even doing all of this it still doesnt do a very good job which means the room does get too warm.
Apart from this it was a pleasant experience staying here, but it is a short walk to the nicer main square where all the restaurants and bars are.

“Nice hotel, average services”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 January 2011

This is a chain hotel, situated in Zilina, close to the train station. The hotel is new, couple of years open. The rooms are holiday inn standards. There is a nice spa, but a little bit too small, when letting also non-staying hotel guests in. The bar on the top floor is great, with a nice view. Unfortunately I have stayed twice, and both times, there was no party, hardly anybody was present in the bar. Drinks are good and cheap for a **** hotel. The food was ok, but nothing special, both the eveninig dinner buffet and the morning breakfast. Staff is quite slow at the restaurant, and not really helpful, but always greetig. The reception was packed with guests, but occupied by only 2 receptionists, which made me wait for something over 15 minutes to check out.

“Wonderful hotel , feels more like a 5* but with much lower rates”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 21 December 2010

Really enjoyable stay in the panorama studio on the 9th floor with a great view of Zilina and the nearby mountains . The spa is very good and restaurant was fantastic - food & service . Upon recommendation from the receptionist we went skiing to two different (both very close) ski resorts - both were quite pleasant , but not very large . We were told that in the summer there is a very nice golf course in Rajec (about 20km) , so I will have to go check that out . Will definitely return to this hotel !
