At the end of July we spent several nights at the Hotel Partizan, as we were getting married in Brezno. We decided around 1 year ago that the Partizan would be a good venue for our wedding reception, as well as an ideal place for our guests to stay. I'm pleased to say we made the right move. Both as a hotel and as a venue for a special event the Partizan scores very highly!
First impressions as a place to stay are excellent. For some of our guests who had come all the way from the UK, this had been a long and tiring journey. However, the warm welcome received at the hotel, the quality of the rooms, fresh air, and excellent bar and restaurant facilities soon revitalized them.
Food and drink aside, the hotel offers numerous activities such as biking, the "tarzania" high ropes course,
or an amazing relaxation/spa area in the basement, which has several different types of sauna, a small swimming pool, and Jakuzzi. Otherwise, there's lots of mountain walking on offer and a golf course nearby. In the evening, there is also a bar/club in the basement, which also has a couple of bowling alleys, table football, and billiards.
As regards the rooms, there are a variety of sizes, but all were well equipped, quiet, and had balconies overlooking the surrounding mountains.
With respect to our wedding reception, this was absolutely fantastic! Everything, food, drink, decoration, was as we had hoped, and then some.
All in all it turned out to be a wonderful stay and we cannot thank the staff enough. The Partizan is certainly not cheap in comparison with other options in the area, but it compares very favourably with similar hotels elsewhere.
In summary, a 5* recommendation!!
