It is very nice and small hotel in quiet location, not so far from business centre Apollo when I had a meeting.......very fine meals in hotel restaurant, quite cheap. Helpfull staff on reception. I can recommend it to all.

My work requires me to travel to Bratislava every so often, and this hotel has been my home away from home several times in the past 2 years. I've stayed here for as long as 3 months on occasion, and during winter, spring ang summer. Overall, it's a very quiet hotel, very accessible to several tram stations (Slovanet, Drienova, Bajkalska etc) and in close proximity with 2 Billa (grocery) locations. Free wired internet in the room, CNN is the only English channel you can get on TV. There's a spa, but I haven't tried their services. Sometimes housekeeping isn't up to par though, like not changing the sheets every 3 days, but if you bring it to their attention, they will have it fixed. Service is good, I've made friends with some of the receptionists and the waiters. The breakfast is nice, you can have cook to order eggs on top of what's on the buffet. Overall, it's clean, quiet and accessible, and the fact that I can bear to stay here for 3 months makes me consider it a very good hotel.

On positive side - Typical modern and clean hotel with excellent breakfast. Stayed four nights and had clean towels when asked and clean sheets without asking. Staff helpful.

On negative side - As we always use public transport we had a very difficult time locating hotel from airport, even three nearby hotels didn't know of its existence. The map of Bratislava in my guide book shows the city centre and not the suburbs but the hotel's in a suburb so it was very difficult to find in dark along unlit road, (but we never felt threatened). Bathroom needs a shower curtain. Showered by kneeling. Bath itself very uncomfortable as all sides vertical. Piped radio/music in public hallways outside room kept me awake as it was audible in room. What's the reason for this? It started at 7 am and went on till after 10 pm. It was like a punishment. It was put off when I complained though. Also wakened at 3 am by night reception speaking on phone - his voice carried up stairwell because no soft furnishings/curtains/carpeting to absorb his powerful voice.

For sure not a 4 star hotel - even by European standards...

the good:
The hotel appears to be relatively new - common areas, rooms, etc.). The staff was VERY friendly - and helpful - but they did not have much to work with... Parking was easy in the neighborhood.

the bad:
Like an earlier reviewer - think IBIS in furnishings (functional, but stark) - except the bathroom while clean, is very difficult to use with no shower curtain.
The free internet was - but very slow.
The free minibar - wasn't - it was empty - and unfortunately, there was nothing at the front desk either.
The location is very bad - took me a while to find it - and it is far from downtown. There are no restaurants around - and it is in a very rundown neighborhood.

Overall - a minimal, one night business hotel, 2 star at best...
