We were looking for cheap and cheerful.

The "we welcome stag parties" sign in the lobby was the first indication we were in for trouble and it went downhill from there.
- The place was filthy.
- There was a sheet in the room that spelled out the costs for vomitting which varied depending on where you were sick!!!

Never again.

Having said that, breakfast was fantastic!!!!

What can you say about a hotel that looks like you have gone back in time and has a Trabant in reception. When we stayed there it was really cheap and probably had the best breakfast I have had in a long time, the room was a bit old as were the furnishings and it is definitely showing its age - however, on a plus note the excellent breakfast, the good location, the cheap food, 1 Euro pints don't discount it out of hand - we had ample hot water and towels and although a bit tatty, the room was clean - if all you want is some cheap digs you could do a lot worse and its definitely a bit different and a step back in time. I would'nt hesitate staying there again but I am not that fussy and realistic about getting what you pay for, in my opinion a quirky, cheap hotel which was good at the price we paid.

Now closed - renovations? Would need some urgently. Price not bad, breakfast actually best on my trip. But the rooms and corridors - quite scary, bad shape, dirty (linens clean though). Good for one night for budget travellers, not to anyone who wants more. But if they renovate and open again, I could return some day. Views from upper floors are wonderful

Hotel Kyjev is a skyscraper from the seventies, which reminds of Czechoslovakian times. The room design is very out of date, and the Toilets are just old and very used. Never the less the hotel is quite good located and not very expensive, the bed linen and towels were also clean. Additionally Hotel Kyjev offers extra an time journey to the past totally for free.
