Most of the reviews mention the noise from the trams during the night and I would suggest that if you are travelling with a family the request a room at the front - these are the quietest. The hotel is currently undergoing a refurb to the 2nd and 3rd floors - whether this will help with the noise who knows! As we were on a social visit and with the local beer being lest than £2 a pint the tram noise didn't effect the majority of our party of 14. The hotel is friendly and perfectly positioned - turn left for the castle and right for the old town. The old town has a large selection of bars, restaurants znd shops - something for everyone - live bands, sports and quieter places. The train station is under a mile away and you can have a day in Vienna for 11euros return - bargain. The trains are clean and efficient and are every hour in both ways to Vienna - taking about an hour- 1/4 to hour their and 20 mins past returning. A great place to visit and a great place to stay .
