Had previously stayed at the Tatra last year and would agree with previous porr reviews but now? All the renovation work has made this an excellent place to stay. Staff were helpful and rooms clean and comfortable. I would definitely stay at the Tatra again.

The reception is a small table in a narrow hall. The staff is friendly and that is something special in Bratislava.

Wiching a room with no street noice I got a room at the backside of the hotel. If you ask me, I had one of the smallest hotelrooms I've ever slept. The room was clean and the bathroom was small but clean aswell.
The climate controle in the room was a disaster (mostly to hot) and watching TV make sure no kids are playing with the remote becouse of free porn-channels.
Breakfast was simple but for East-european standards is was okay.
It's just a step away from the palace and near Hotel Crown Plaza.
During my stay they were giving the complete hotel an update so I expect more IF I will ever come back.

The reception lady was friendly and efficient. Rooms where not particulary brilliant. Nice furniture.

Information available in the room was inadequate. TV channels could not receive BBC world. Not everyone wishes to receive porn on the TV with out any warning.

Bathroom was nice apart from the toilet roll holder which is placed in a position to potentially cause you an injury to your wrist as you sit down on the toilet. (Almost razor sharp design).

Supply of shampoo / gel severly limited considering the price.

Air conditioning was very noisy. Opening window results in heavy traffic noise.
Mattress poor, considering price of room.
Lift very slow in arriving, most customers appeared to walk both ways

Breakfast poor choice considering cost of room. Coffee none descript. Lighting poor in bedroom. No iron / board.

Due to the building renovation currently being carried out, very heavy noise levels from machinery were experienced during breakfast. You could have worn ear defenders. Seriously! We should have been informed about the building renovation and given a price reduction.

There is an internet station at reception, every hotel should have one, and not charge for it! Not everyone wishes to carry a laptop around the world in order to receive mail / access sport / news etc.
Opening up the internet takes a long time.

A departure railway timetable would be very useful at reception.

The carpets need to be 'vacuumed with a Dyson vacuum cleaner. they do not appear to be clean.
Due to the poor value for money, I will not consider staying here again.

The non-luxury rooms are very small, crowded and hot and they do not offer 3 star accommodation ... they seem to be -3 star. The so called luxury rooms are the same, but have air conditioning. The receptionist is very unfriendly, keeps you waiting a lot for a simple check in and tries to double the amount you pay if possible. They even make you pay 35 euro for linens in an apartement where there is a couch.
