We have just returned today from a 3 night stay 3rd - 6th Feb 2012.
On arrival at 10.30 am we were greated with a very friendly reception and asked for a nice room with a view. Without any fuss we were accomodated straight away with a room on the 3rd floor over looking the Castle and Cathedral very pleased. we booked a standard room which was more than adequate Mini bar if you wanted it (never used it so not sure on cost) Hairdryer and Shower Gel etc also a heated towel rail which was a nice to have.
The heating was fine and as this was a very cold weekend of -12 in the day on 2 days and -6 on the other we never felt cold at all. Beds are extremely comfy and very clean.
The carpets etc are old but not worn out but also seem to be clean as was the seperate Bathroom and Likewise the toilet.
Breakfast was excellant Buffet style we more than enough options to please all.
There is a Club downstairs which is open till 5am in the morning we did hear the beat of music but this never bothered us, maybe we just crashed out after all the days walking around this Little Big City.
If there was a negative then this would be the slight blip with the lift that my husband got stuck in and staff were there to sort the issue, The only down side was communication was not heard within the lift, even though they could hear them.
If you are looking for 5* then this will not suit you but done just fine for us.
We managed to fill our days there with sub zero temperatures and feel that unless you want to go off to Vienna or Budapest etc the time we had was just right.
We walked all around and even got to the new Town area and Eurovea which is very modern.
If you do book this hotel I feel you will be happy with it and the price we paid was amazing and very reasonable no issues at all. Well done Park Inn.
