we stayed in the hotel for 4 nights in August 2011.
for the first sight it was visible, that this is an older building from the socialist-era. The hotel has old-style rooms, and some of their rooms are refurbished.
We stayed in the "classic" - old style room.
The room was clean, the bathroom was OK,
The hotel has a wellness section - although just a smaller inside pool, but has jacuzzis, saunas, and offers various spa treatments - beauty salon and various massages.
Alghough I know that the hungarian cuisine is really tasty, the food offered in the hotel was surprisingly high quality, and varied. The staff is very nice and helpfull. Especially the reservation manager, who fulfilled my one unusual request.
The surroundings of the hotel: it is situated within a forrest park, over the city of Sopron (not to far, good bus connection to the centre). The hotel has a playgrould for children, basketball field, chessboard in the garden... and an open air grill, where you can prepare your own food if you want.
The hotel offers free entrance to the swimming bath of the city Sopron, and in the summer to the natural baths (lake) for their guests.
So although the first impression based on the exterior of the hotel was not the best, we really enjoyed the time spent here.
