The Patria is located at the heart of this historic city, few minutes by taxi from main raiwaly station. Everything is within a walking distance. Staff are extremely friendly and helpfull for non-Hungerian speaking guests (They speak German, English). My room (standard one) was comfortable and clean with nice bathroom. Breakfast is included and caters for different tastes. The hotel makes very good spot to stay for business and tourist trips. Highly Recommended.

The external appearance of the hotel is petty brutal, but the reception and dining rooms were impressive. The fridge in our room had a stale pizza in it, and there were bottles under the bed. Although a fan was provided, the room was very hot indeed, especially on the first night. Since there are no restrictions on smoking in public areas, our 'non-smoking room' was not free from tobacco smells. Good service from Reception and a fine breakfast buffet

We stayed one night at Pátria and this hotel is overpriced and over rated With taxes we paid 95Euro for a room without air-conditioned with two bad beds some furniture also without interest, this means not comfortable at all. It seems due the fact that Pécs is one of the three European Capital of Culture 2010 the hotels were full booked and could do what they want and seems without any control. My wife didn't want to sleep in the car and we stayed at the worst hotel we had been lately.

The location is pretty good. It's about 15min walk to the old city centre, Szechenyi Square. Lots of shops and eateries with old charm, and all the sights of Pecs, like theTurkish minaret.
The room is also very decent, not bad for a 3 star hotel.
