Eger is a lovely town and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Offi House/Haz. It is on the corner of the main square, with lovely views from some of the rooms, and the restaurant serves hearty portions of Hungarian food on the terrace. On one evening, there was even live music (but only until about 9pm so it wasn't a disturbance).
Our room was a triple, with a sofa bed in a separate room, the bathroom was small but clean and functional. The decor is traditional and perhaps a bit dated, but the place is spacious, breakfast was excellent (made-to-order omlettes and other dishes, plus fresh bread, juice, coffee etc) and the staff friendly and helpful. Upon check-out, I left my wallet at reception, and I wouldn't have realised this until it was far too late if the receptionist hadn't noticed and kept it safe with my suitcase that I'd left there for the day.
All-round positive experience.
