Picked this hotel for a one night stop in Eger because of the open air pool. But on arriving at just before 6.00pm on a gloriously hot day we were told the pool shuts at 6.00pm! Very dissapointing as a couple of hours in the sun after a long drive was just what the doctor ordered.
Hotel is adequate at best. Rooms OK - not dirty or shabby but, to repeat what was said on an earlier review, the security on the windows led a lot to be desired. Made you think twice about leaving a lap top in the room.
Having eaten here on a previous visit we decided to eat out in the town as the restaurant was decidedly average fare. Plenty of decent and very reasonable restaurants in the town about 10 mins. walk away.
Breakfast was dissapointing - not a great deal of selection and the scramble eggs could have been used to sole your shoes. Not a great deal of fruit or cereals on offer.
Hotel is seems popular with elderly tourists taking advantage of the spa and thermal facilities. So do not be surprised to see people wandering around reception and the bar in flip flops and a robe.
