Checked into the triple room I booked months ago, to a room overlooking the parking lot and trash cans. The third bed was a hard chair thing that wouldn't really work for an adult, but a 7-year-old only mentioned that it was harder than the other beds. The toilet was in a separate room from the shower and sink, and was never clean. The WC room smelled of urine the whole time we were there. Paint was peeling, curtains didn't fit, the only English channel on TV didn't work anymore, and the shower leaked out of the back of the fixture, leaving only a trickle to actually wash with. I mentioned all of these problems, but they were never taken care of. The whole grounds are run-down; there's a roof garden that is so overgrown, there's virtually nowhere to go out there! I would rate the hotel even lower, but there are a few nice things: 1. the hotel's own wellness facility is beautiful. There's a nice "fun" pool with bubbles, sprays, jets, etc; a "children's" pool mostly used by the octogenarians because it's warmer, but it is large and has nice foot-jets, a wonderful lay-down bubble pool, 3 different saunas, an aromatherapy chamber and a plunge pool. When you need to dry off from all the soggy fun, there are heated tile tables, for lack of a better word, to lay on. Secondly, the hotel has its own access to the public thermal bath, which you can take advantage of as much as you like with a deposit for a bracelet (which is literally kept in an envelope separate from the register, it is really easy to get back!) The thermal is fabulous, really fun for the whole family, and having the hotel right there (and the extra towel to use) is fabulous. The breakfast was plentiful, though heavily Germanic, and after a week of living with an Hungarian family, we were surprised at the focus on hot dogs and wholemeal breads. Overall, with a 5-minute walk to the center, I probably wouldn't stay again, but I'm not sure if we'd find a more appealing option for a family with small children.
