Just 10 minutes gentle walk from the centre of town and connected via a private entrance to the thermal baths, this hotel is superbly situated. The rooms are the usual standard type for modern business/tourist hotel, adequate and clean but not plush and certainly not tired or shabby. The choice is being in the heart of town in an older smaller hotel, possible with more character or next to the pool with a short walk to the centre. I preferred the pool and would choose this hotel again.
There were not so many tourists in town, possibly because of the dreadful weather so not being at the heart of town was not missed although there was a band stand there with two very good musicians and a wine bar just opposite to provide refreshments while listening.
The Flora lacked atmosphere as with any other modern hotel and some of the 1st floor rooms look directly out on to a roof which if the hotel was busy and weather was warm and dry could cause a nuisance with noise and perhaps some nervousness as the French windows did not lock properly making entry to the room via the balcony quite easily possible.
The staff were helpful and pleasant. Breakfast excellent
