“Terrific apartment hotel, great location, wonderful staff”

If you get stir crazy in a hotel bedroom, no matter how plush, this is for you. The apartments are all nicely furnished, with a balcony, kitchen & bathroom and well equipped, with a choice of studio, or 1,2, or 3 bedroom. I have stayed here on a number of occasions, in different flats. But my favourite is the open plan suite, spacious, light and airy, a joy to throw open the balcony doors for some fresh air. Breakfasts are good, but the joy of having a kitchen is that you can make what you want, when you want it. Location is fantastic, with quirky shops, fab restaurants, food markets & most importantly you are in the middle of the old Jewish quarter, with is so much to see and do, the streets are steeped in history.
The staff are friendly and couldn't be more helpful., with travel plans, cinema showings, restaurant bookings. When I returned for a third time with work, the receptionist even remembered our conversation about my apartment preference, and had my favourite ready for me- a great welcome.

Room Tip: The flats with separate bedrooms can feel quite dark, but I think that is the local style. But you d...

“Fanastic!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 22 January 2012

My husband and I stayed here in May 2011. The location was really ideal, a less than 5 minute walk to the trolley, and lots of cute shops and restaurants close by. Cafe Pertu across the street has really tasty coffee and espresso. The room was absolutely beautiful, as was the courtyard. Really lovely place! I would stay there again in a heartbeat.

“Excellent value for money.”

Our room was spacious; a living room, kitchenette, bedroom and bathroom. We even had a washing machine! The location was good, only 2 minutes walk away from a busy thoroughfare with plenty of bars and restaurants. The walk to the river took longer, about 15 minutes, but the area through which you have to walk is fine. The staff were friendly and efficient, and the Hotel restaurant served excellent food. Whilst the swimming pool area was not very big, it was beautifully decorated. I would highly recommend this hotel.

“Perfect value for money.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 January 2012

It is a perfect accommodation but it is not a hotel as we know it, and especially a 5 star hotel.
It is a residency, with security, cameras, cleaning services, swimming pool but not a hotel. Has no lobby, bar, seating area, restaurants, wide elevators and corridors, etc.
This is the reason why the breakfast is so expensive. There is no area to accommodate all residents during breakfast. This is also the reason why the hotel provides rates w/o breakfast but provides facilities in the rooms for food preparation.
The rooms are quite big but the bedroom not so much. You have to put your clothes in the wardrobe, because your luggage can not be stored in your room.
For us having a 2y/o son the room was great. He had space to play and the equipment (i.e. refrigerator, microwave and heater) were very helpful.
The stuff was also very helpful and kind, ready to assist on any of our request.
The swimming pool is not for 5star hotel but is much better than other more expensive hotels in the area.
The water in pool is not so warm ( /- 20 C) but in jacuzzi is warm enough.
Also note that it is very quiet. The outside road is quite far from the rooms and it is no crowdie at all. Ofcourse there is no view from the room but within the city nowhere you will find a wide view.
The area is not very popular but the tram is abt 100 mtr far, very very frequent (abt every 2 min) and takes you everywhere. For families with strollers the new lines of tram (like this one close to the hotel) access is very easy. Access to Metro and old tram is not so easy. Necessary to have the stroller on hands at the stairs.
Generally about the hotel, our impression is very positive and we would suggest to everybody but at a price of a 4 star hotel maximum.
