“A clean hotel in a quiet area...”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 December 2010

This was the second time I stayed in this hotel, both visits lasted 4 days and were equally satisfying:reasonable price, very clean rooms, friendly and helpful staff. The second time I made the booking on booking.com because it was a considerable difference, I suggest you always check this option, too. Breakfast is good, the staff is flexible and make you whatever food you like, juice isn't very good. Pay attention to the room you get in winter, avoid the last floor, in case you are not satisfied for whatever reason with the room they are very flexible and will try to change it. There's free parking, sauna, and some cute cats, maybe that's why the whole stay is more pleasant. If you want to go to the city centre you get there by bus(20 min)+underground(10min), you have the bus station very close to the hotel.
All in all if you are looking for a simple, quiet, very clean hotel with good food, friendly and helpful staff at a reasonable price this is the hotel I would always return to.

“would/will go back again”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 21 October 2009

After researching numerous hotel options in the area, I booked at Alfa Art Hotel, just outside the city and am glad I did. We had a rental car, so the 15 minute drive to the city wasn't an issue. The hotel is clean, pleasant, quaint and cozy. The staff is wonderful and helpful. Rooms are a bit small, but very clean. The breakfast was great and filling. The views are amazing. I'm already looking forward to staying there again in the spring.

“Exceeded my expectations”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 27 April 2009

I read all the reviews very carefully prior to booking and I admit I was a little worried about the journeys to the city by public transport. But.......if you have time and are not concerned about travelling on buses and metro, then it is quite okay. One bus and one metro = 40 minutes and you are in the centre. The public transport is regular, frequent, cheap and reliable. I would prefer that to spending the same time looking for somewhere to park! A travel card 1/3/7 days, means you can get on and off wherever you wish and is a must.
The hotel is excellent. Tam, his staff and the receptionists very friendly and helpful. The room was great and well kept ( except for one day when they forgot ours, but hey, big deal, you are on holiday so chill out).
The restaurant menu was quite good and reasonably priced. Pity they do not change the menu though. Breakfast buffet excellent and tastes even better when you can sit in the sun outside.
For exercise freaks, there is a long riverside path for running or cycling.
All in all, an hotel to be recommended without a doubt.

“On the EXIT of Budapest, close to St. Andre”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 27 February 2009

Very low PRICED HOTEL ( 38 EUR, 1/1) in full season! New hotel, better dinner then I expected. Excellent receptionist ( before in 5-star hotel ) . Also, much better, then I would expect for such price!! Reason for LOW PRICE, is location! Very, very, far from City , 9-11 km. But, as this is my 15-20, hotel in Budapest, I know Budapest, almost excellent. But, it's great location, for visits to famous St. Andre, which is closer, then Center of Budapest. It is on Danube river, and very closed 4-star, fully new, DANUBE BEACH hotel, has even ship station, and you cat travel to center, by ship!! They prevent, excellent, any mosquito attacks, but if you are too much sensitive to that insects, I would not recommend you that hotel! Of course, if you like to walk, in night, in hot summer days, as I did!! For me, The Budapest, I have never heard to exist, although, as you can see, i was so much time n my favorite city!!
