stayed with a friend for four nights in sept 2011. Staff very rude, bar shutting at 10pm with nothing else around the area!! They said 10 mins to town. DONT LISTEN!!! An hour an 10 mins with bus changes and tram changes. No air con in rooms and the fridges dont work. When questioned about the fridges the reply was "they do work but not efficient!!!" Ate there the 1st night bout then didnt bother after that, really basic menu.The only good thing that could happen to the place is for it to be sunk with the staff still on it! Plus side was meeting an awesome couple otherwise may have jumped overboard.

Not three star at all. Everything tired - threadbare towels, very dated room furnishings and iffy bathroom. A distance from the city centre - a walk (area scary at night), a bus and a tram. Some of the staff quite rude. There for four nights - ate restaurant food first night and both had upset stomachs the next day, so didn't make that mistake again. Rubbish wine. Breakfast passable. Function (wedding) second night went on to early hours - just as well we ate in town, as no one had bothered to mention the restaurant would be closed. Loud music and loud guests meant little sleep. Third night loud guests meant little sleep. My sleeping husband was stung by wasps on two out of four nights! Only saving grace was the good weather, which meant we could sit out on the communal deck morning and night.

The botel is located quite far from the city center but the location is advantage for those traveling by car or just passing through or for those who want to experience this type of accommodation. For those aimed at the city center I recommend to find private accommodation in the city center (for example, our two friends stayed in the apartment near Vaci for 20 euros per person per night). The area around botel looks like former industrial area, but it is quiet, peaceful and seems safe. Rooms are nice and clean, quite small, but well arranged. There is no air condition, but it wasn’t hot, probably due to the river. Someone could disturb the noise in the room because you can hear someone talking or walking in the hallway. There is a free car parking in front of the botel. Not hard to find, but do not rely on the information on Google Earth, because the botel is not properly labeled. Prefer to locate it on the map using the name of the street.

The hotel is pretty far away from the city center, but it's OK for 1-2 nights' stay. It's clean and decent & you can have an OK breakfast in their restaurant, so you can get back on your feet and be off to wander the streets again :)
