“good location, great staff, terrific pool!”

This is a great value hotel - good for the pocketbook, reasonably comfortable, and located only a short walk from the Magrit Bridge and public transportation. I was there with a small group and we all met in the breakfast area each morning - breakfast wasn't fancy but was adequate for starting the day. Staff were always courteous and often very helpful. The free wifi access was very handy, though not always easy from the room - better in the common area.
The use of the pool was a real treat!

“a good choice in Budapest”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 October 2010

People who stay here may find it noisy if their room faces the street, because the traffic is constant. Better to ask for a room facing the swimming pool, which although noisy for much of the day is totally quiet from 21:00 to 06:00 hours. All rooms are small (the place was once a convent and you are sleeping in what was once a nun's cell) but are more than adequately furnished and are very clean. Breakfast is a buffet of cereals, rolls, cold cuts, yoghurt, coffee and tea served in a small corridor alcove. It can be pretty crowded, so try to get there early. Value for money? Yes, definitely, if you take advantage of off-season lower prices and you make use of the excellent swimming pool whose admission is included in the price.

“Good location, very tolerant, huge pool!”

Travelled as part of a rugby tour - the hotel was quite tolerant to our large group, although at times it was a close call.

A short walk from the tram stop, there is a very good all you can eat buffet on the bridge by the tram stop. The hotel has a large olympic swimming pool, which is used by one of Budapests top clubs - it is possible to use it though as guests of the hotel.

Rooms are basic but clean, some near the front suffer from noise from the trams - however the rooms around the pool are very quiet (usually).

“Good service!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 June 2010

We had a room far from the tram line, so we did have out peace and quiet. :)
The staff is really great and they all seem to like their jobs, so they were very responsive. First they took us in early in the morning with no extra charge, and then gave us three more blankets when we said we were cold (which was more than enough). Nobody bothered us for anything, but they did answer all of our questions (first via Skype, and then, of course, in RL).
Regarding the breakfast: it's really quite enough. We weren't sure what the other people expected.
The room was small, but clean and cozy. And yes, we do thing we were lucky to be far enough from the tram line.
