very good and friendly staff. cool building, with a very good location in pest. very close to the tram stops that can take you most places. a couple of friendly staff member really stood out as great people to provide you with any kind of information you may wish to know about the city. a lot of free extras included in the price too!!

I went to the aboriginal hostel for a couple of nights while on a trip to watch liverpool Football club in the champions league. We paid for a private twin room which when we got there was basically an apartment just down the road from the main hostel. The apartment was like a studio with twin beds, slightly old 1970s style bathroom if you were comparing it to bathrooms in the United Kingdom but the shower was great really powerful and very refreshing.
The staff made it for me to be honest. The lady at the reception spoke very good english, very helpful offered us breakfast when we arrived, phoned us a taxi to take us back the airport so we got a good price and didnt get ripped off.
So if your going to budapest on on a budget i would recommend this place. Obviously i dont know what the standard of the dorms are here but the private twin room is great and we paid bout 20 pounds a nite, so i was made up with this and it is not far from metro stations and macdonalds.

this hostel tries to set up some sort of family interfering attitude which is great. not obligatory but if you are travelling alone, trying to get to know people it provides perfect possibilities by free breakfast and especially evening activities which at least seem to be endless. almost the whole the staff is, really helpful and trying to maintain the unique atmosphere the hostel has. and the usual stuff is great as well...clean, close to get somewhere, shop next door,free (slow internet..;) )...special place to me.
if i would return to budapest i would defintely go to this place again
