“Not to our Liking”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 28 July 2011

No restaurant here unless for breakfast where the buffet was set up in lounge area. Actually ate it in dining room. Hotel catered for dinner only for coach parties. Bar, so we were told, is run by separate company to the hotel therefore could not set up tab. Atlas is a good walk from anything up a street that is akin to being in Beirut. No restaurants nearby but there is a MacDonalds! We actually had to eat there one night. Due to a booking problem, we were upgraded and room was huge with airconditioning. However furniture was tired and past its shelf life. However, staff friendly. Would not recommend this hotel to anybody.

“Noisy location, but friendly staff”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 13 June 2011

I stayed at this hotel for 2 nights only, and I found it to be quite noisy indoors and outdoors. The walls are paper thin, you can hear people taking a shower beside you and above you! The cables cars run through the street as well and you can definately hear it. Remote didnt work, and AC wasnt working. Food was extremely bland just like anywhere in Europe, and caution, the milk is served warm!
The service was good though, and people were very friendly. Also compared to any hotel in Europe I have ever been, they had the best WIFI connection, and its free.
Its not bad for one or two nights.

“Good value for money, distance lets it down”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 June 2011

Good value for money hotel, clean rooms, great staff help no grumbles except that the hotel was ten minute walk then ten minute tram ride into the city centre and not city centre as advertised!

“Atlas Hotel is a good value”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 28 January 2011

Stayed in this hotel 3 of us got 3 room and all were satisfied with the rate and rooms. In fall and winter had rate stay 3 nights get one night free. For East Europe decent hotel for the price. Cheap price some hotels in East Europe our outrageous. I read some people say area was Dodgy. We got real drunk couple of late late nights and no problems walking back from bar. Cannot not be Welsh guys that say it is Dodgy. Nothing worrys them first time partying with welsh men. Rooms are big and clean. Breakfast do not eat the sausage all fat but eggs and cereal and toast are okay. Sausage in Budapest in general is full of fat(surprise to me). As for area we are walkers and found it right in the middle between natural hot bath houses and the center. Short walk to main drag for trams etc(5 -10 minutes). Staff is pretty good in general . Lots people in the bar regular multicutural little party place.

“Adequate, good location, clean and a good deal”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 24 October 2010

I stayed for two nights with a friend a couple of days ago. Very adequate, clean room, location quite ok. Although the area is not posh at all, after all normal people have also to live somewhere I guess, I was quite ok with it. It is very near to the Keleti railway station and the Lujza Blaha metro stop is quite nearby. Reception staff was very helpful and for once I was glad indeed to follow their restaurant advice: Rosenstein was simply excellent and just a short walk away. Combining all with the good deal we got for the room price, I would definitely come again.
