The hotel, located on the Pest side, is modern and located on a quiet, residential street only a short 8 minute walk to the metro at Lehel tér. Thankfully there was no wait to gain access to the room which had a foyer off of which was the bathroom and another door that lead to the bedroom. This space successfully acted as a buffer from potential corridor noise, providing a sanctuary (although the hotel is relatively quiet). The room was lovely and large by both European and American standards. There was a full kitchenette concealed behind a door, a sofa with coffee table, a large desk, sizable flat-screen television, stereo, a bed with a very firm, comfortable mattress, and a view of the courtyard and indoor pool. The room was spotless. The bathroom had a modern shower stall – a room with bath must be requested if so desired.
There was coffee in the lobby, gratis, at all times. The hotel sported a sizable pool, whirlpool, sauna, and gym. My only criticism was the lack of free WiFi which was a perplexing omission since this was a business oriented hotel. The desk staff was consistently patient and helpful. The only shortcoming was the inconsistency of wake-up calls.
The fluorescent lit breakfast room at the hotel was functional but characterless. Its self-service buffet provided plenty of choices such as hard boiled eggs, bread with ham and sprinkled with mozzarella that guests broiled in a toaster-oven, yogurt, fruit, a generous variety of hot and cold cereals, an assortment of rolls, bread, charcuterie, and an array of cheeses.
(Of note: There is an outstanding, vibrant marketplace at the Lehel Ter Metro - which is less commercial than the Great Market Hall [Nagyvásárcsrnnok]).
