The hotel is situated away from the city.The staff was initially welcoming however, if you ask more than one question they became upset and remarked that they were alone at the front desk. The most obscene situation I encountered was the internet office and the woman running it. She was rude and obnoxious. Internet is expensive. They have no real restaurant as it is very small with a very limited menu. The "Spa" was dirty, bathrooms not cared for and you shower with men in the next stall..no privacy. The hotel lobby looks inviting but not the case when you get to the rooms. The area surrounding the hotel is seedy. Breakfast was tolerable.

We were there 2 nights as part of a package tour. It's easy to get to the centre of Budapest but locally there is nothing much. Two major problems:first it was hot and humid and the aircon failed. It was so hot we slept with the windows open and the noise was really bad. Second the reception staff were rude. I wanted to check out, I was the only customer at the desk. There were three male staff talking to a tour guide or someone and they completely ignored me, although I was standing right in front of them. When one finally noticed, there was no greeting and he continued to be engaged in the group conversation while he was processing my account. Not good enough.

We stayed in this hotel for the Hungarian Grand Prix and used the hotel as a base to explore the city. It has a great location next to the Metro line which takes you straight into the centre of Budapest. The immediate area surrounding the hotel isn't too pleasant, especially at night with not a lot of street lighting.

The hotel's facilities were pretty standard (we had a triple room) and lacked a sofa in the room which didn't bother us too much. The beds were comfy although only one pillow was provided for each bed.

The shower was broken (shower head was not secured) which we managed to fix ourselves.

The only disappointment was the breakfast which was very expensive for what was on offer.

We stayed here as part of a package tour. The front looks quite old and shabby, and the internals weren't much better. The bathroom was tiny, and the shower head kept slipping down. The airconditioning failed on both nights, which made the room terribly humid. Internet access was extremely expensive. For a positive, it was very close to the Stadium train station, so it was easy to get into/out of town. A disappointing stay.
