This hotel is very basic. In my opinion it`s hardly a 3 star hotel.
My room was very small, the bathroom was tiny. Cleanliness is bad. Hair in the bed upon arrival, the carpet was old and dirty and there was dust everywhere.
The room was generally in urgent need of an refurbishment. The small table considered to be the working desk was so small and low I could not even put my legs under it, and I am not a giant.
The "bed" is not comfy, it`s just a cheap coil springs mattress placed on a wooden plate.
The windows opens only a tiny bit (for your safety).
The Internet is free, however, you get an code that expires at midnight before the departure day. You have to get another code, and they apparently can`t give it to you in advance. Very nice, that`s just what I need on the departure morning; chase for an valid wifi code.
The greatest feature (I have never seen that before in any hotel in the world) is the automatic message they send to you every morning between 9 and 11 o`clock. It`s absolutly nothing in it. Its like "enjoy Mercure, MSense" or something like that.
When the message arrives, the TV automatically notify you with a sharp alarm. You have to enter you room number and delete that message...by then you will be guaranteed awake.
Such an nonsense.
I called and tried to stop this. They said they cancel it...well in fact, they didn`t do anything about it. So if you like to sleep in, remember to unplug the TV...There is only one english channel anyway (BBC world)
The only positives are the location if you like to be in the middle of the tourist district and their cafe which serves nice snacks for really fair prices (like the Caesar salad for arround 5 Dollars or a delicous goulash soup for 3$).
They do as well room service and don`t even have a tray charge, besides a 7% service fee which includes tip.
Minibar prices are the usual rip off, over 4 Dollars for a tiny bottle of a soft drink.
...and make sure not to miss their "winter miracle" offer: One cup of tee for free, per stay :-)
Overall, really not recommendable.
