This is a fairly small hotel near the Danube on the Buda side of the river, a 5 minute walk from Elizabeth Bridge with good and close public transport stops nearby: we used bus 5 the most which gives handy access to Sz Kalman ter (was Moscow Square) one way and over into Pest via Ferenciek Ter the other; routes 8, 86, 178 are also useful as well trams 18, 19 & 41 so there's plenty of public transport stops very close to the hotel. Alternatively you can walk over to Pest or up to Adam Clark ter in around 15 mins. The hotel is conveniently situated for seeing the sights of Budapest.
There are only 2 restaurants and one bar/cafe in the vicinity but the bus/tram/metro is so good that this is an irrelevance. The lack of "action" does make the surrounding streets a little unfrequented especially in the evening but we didn't feel in the slightest bit unsafe.
The room was on the small side but clean and well serviced. Breakfast was a simple affair of meat & cheeses with a variety of bread and eggs to order (but a request for scrambled eggs and an omelette came back as two omelettes...!). The breakfast room is a little on the small side so best to get up early! I would have liked more choice as there were only a couple of cereals on offer and not much fruit.
The staff were helpful and friendly and made for an enjoyable staff.
I may well visit Budapest again but I would choose an alternative place to stay next time, probably on the Pest side.
