“MY SECOND HOME”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 9 February 2012

I checked in in 1993 for the first time.
During this years the hotel change many times and the personal as well....
Good location, on the Danube banks , outside Budapest center so quite and easy to access.
Parking,(payable) and garage, available.
Executive floor, a hotel into the hotel, with nice business lounge .
Free wifi available also in the rooms.
Nice lobby bar and restaurant for breakfast or dinner.
Very nice shopping facilities and a huge spa and welness center with termal water and medical stuff.
Used for many businees people sometimes complementary business as tourists.

Room Tip: Executive rooms are better equiped and the access to business lounge a must.

Ramada Hotel Budapest
We had being there for 3 nights last January.
The hotel is far from center city, but is easy get there, you can get a train, just 5 minutes’ walk from the hotel and from there you should to take the subway. Transportation takes 15-20 mins to city center.
All surrounds of hotel are not romantic and you will not find places to eat near to .
The room was spacious but not so cozy as we expected, the bathroom clean and fine .
The swimming pools are very fine , those are there since Roman empery - Spa was nice to use.
The breakfast was very good.
the price make it a good choice.
It is also 10 mins walk distance to beautiful Margaret Island. When we entered the room it was, but we forgot about this when we checked the spa area in basement of the hotel - just great.

Room Tip: ask for a coner room it's sunny .

“Nice hotel with spacious rooms”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 16 January 2012

This is a very nice Hotel and our room was very spacious. Tea/coffee, free Wi-fi and an ice machine on each floor - all you should need for a comfortable stay.
Environmentally they are also good by offering the compendium to guests via the TV. Less paper / waste and much easier and cost effective for them to update information.
Attractive pool and spa area

“It can better!”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 January 2012

I spent New Year here. For a 5-star expectations were high. The hotel was beautifully decorated for the holidays. A little far from downtown, but are sufficient means of transport and are coming to established interval to make a small walk up to the desired location. Breakfast is not very diversified, not up to standards of a 5-star hotel and it's expensive. Do not narrate the New Year meal. Expensive and not so good. The cookies or even cake were not too good. The rooms are quite large, clean and nicely furnished. The bathrooms are tiny. In the five days we stayed in this hotel as were surprised to see that sometimes towels smelled of food, others looked like after a war (with many holes). Shampoo and shower gel
are strictly for one person, not two. Good luck with spa. Here you can relax (sauna, jacuzzi, swimming pool, gym). I do not recommend this hotel. To eat something in the area and until a late hour there is a good restaurant (is called Kehl Vendeglo) behind the hotel, on a parallel street.

“Great experience!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 10 January 2012

We spent several nights last Christmas at the Ramada Plaza after our friend's recommendation. He is the regular guest there. We were not disappointed. We got an executive room which comes with executive lounge. What a treat! The staff of the hotel did a fantastic job and was polite and attentive. The rooms were good and the breakfast was good also. The hotel is not centrally located, but they provide transportation to the center couple of times a day, not enough in my opinion. Also there is no shuttle to the airport. We stayed for Christmas dinner, (didn't want to look for a restaurant, ) and that was our only disappointment - overpriced and not so good! The hotel has a nice spa, where we could relax and worm up in a hot pool. There is a train with a stop close to the hotel. All in all I recommend this hotel.
