“Ideal location, value for money, with great service!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 January 2012

Located on the bustling hub that is Vaci Utca, Cosmo Fashion Hotel is in the heart of Budapest, and right near the banks of the Danube, Chain Bridge etc. You could not find a better location.

Staff were always incredibly helpful, and were more than happy to book restaurants, a dinner cruise and a day at the thermal baths for us. Service with a smile.

Our room itself was very unique, with an almost 80's retro feel to the decor. We loved it. The bed was comfortable, and the bathroom was a good size. The windows opened out onto the side street and made us feel really part of the city.

The only let down for me was breakfast, which really needs to include more health/vegetarian options that don't include cheese cheese cheese!

Aside from this, I would have no hesitation in recommending it to anyone wanting a great base to explore this gorgeous city from.

“Very good location!”

The Hotel is very well located, right in the center. The rooms are a bit small, and the breakfast is not the best you can expect. There is a free wi-fi connection. Also the restaurant with the music club is very good. in my opinion at the end the price-quality ratio is very good.
For a business meeting or for a family trip the location of the hotel is excellent. I think to come back right there with the family.

“Great Boutique Hotel in Perfect Location”

My wife and I stayed here in early November, 2011. Location was perfect, especially for the price. Room sizes vary from typical European small (where do I put my luggage?) to standard American size (who needs this much space in a hotel room when you should be out there exploring?). Nicely appointed rooms. Only, small, complaint is that the beds were a bit hard, but that's obviously based on my preference as my wife thought they were fine. Front desk was extremely helpful - after our stay we forgot something in our room and they immediately mailed it to us in Chicago! We will back to Budapest and we will stay here.

“Nice hotel, good location, enjoyed my week there”

Have read reviews from others who had issues with the breakfast, but it offered more than most of the hotels I have been to in Europe. There was always scrambled eggs and eggs over easy along the usual breakfast items. The hotel does not sell stamps, but the post office is 1 block down the street. Only 2 blocks from the Danube, it is so easy to get around. The train station is a 30 minute walk if you want to hop the train to Vienna. Only issue I had was that water leaked out from underneath the shower. Room offered a nice big closet, bed was comfortable, mini bar in the room that had extra room in the fridge for extra drinks if you want to buy and free wifi. When I first got in the room, none of the lights work. There was an outlet next to the bathroom that you put your room key in and allows the lights and other outlets to work.

“Very much enjoyed staying at the hotel and would be happy to recommend it for a mini-break in Budapest”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 November 2011

Stayed at the Cosmo Fashion Hotel for 3 nights with a group of friends in late October 2011. We reserved through lastminiute.com and emailed ahead to arrange a twin room which the hotel kindly provided.

The hotel is located on Váci ucha, one of the main pedestrianized shopping streets. Our room boasted a nice view of the street and partial view of the Danube. It is centrally located the main public transport options including the red line hop-on & hop off bus and a metro route.

Check-in for the group was very efficient, with the receptionist Peter providing helpful tips about bars to visit and the dangers of flagging taxis from the street.

Bedrooms were very satisfactory; recently renovated, clean, warm and well sound proofed from the street. Beds were of good quality and provided a good night sleep.

Unfortunately we didn’t rise early enough to partake in breakfast, but the other meals we had at the hotel were of good quality and reasonably priced.

We very much enjoyed staying at the hotel and would be happy to recommend it for a mini-break in Budapest.

Room Tip: Besure to email ahead if you'd like a twin room.
