Well, what a dissapointment. After failing to get into the lovely looking Hotel Max, we ended up coming along to the Hotel Fiesa (he wouldn't let us make a reservation on the phone and then when we turned up he said all the rooms were reserved - grrr) on the recommendation of our guidebook. It must have been out of date as there was definitely something of a "Fawlty Towers" air about this place.
Ok, so it was fairly functional and a clean enough hotel. However, the room was more like a student dormitory than a double room in a hotel (2 singles pushed together, no curtains!!!)
We had decided to try this one out as the guide book made out that Fiesa being about a 15minute walk out of town was a bit of relief from the crowds of Piran. Nothing could have been further from the truth - Fiesa was packed with rowdy teenagers whilst Piran was relatively quiet.
On the plus side, it was pretty cheap and Piran was a very pleasant 1 km walk along the coastal path.
So, if you're looking for somwhere cheap then maybe this place will suffice. However, go along with low expectations if you don't want to be disappointed. And be warned - the adjacent campsite looks horrible.
