recommend to people who have come business and need a rest

We spent only one night at this colorful hotel during our flying visit to Ljubljana. Sadly we had very little time (we arrived in the evening and left the next day early in the morning), but it was enough to decide that we shall stay at the Mons hotel again.
The hotel is just off the motorway, which was more a convenient bonus than a problem.
The hall is very bright and colorful and the rooms are good enough: nice and simple furniture and clean bathroom; we found the bed very confortable.
The breakfast was excellent, with great choice of every type of food you may desire.
The best part of our stay at the Mons hotel, though, was the attention and care we got from the staff: Marinko at the reception was the best and most welcoming receptionist I have come across in a very long time...he explained everything we needed to know to make the best of our very few hours in Ljubljana, gave all the right advice and generally made us feel welcome and in good hands. He even came to say goodbye before going off duty!
After having dinner in town (which you can reach with a very easy 7 minutes drive), we stopped at the hotel bar for a glass of wine and it was a pleasure to be helped by Matjaz, who is a very competent and passionate , nevertheless very friendly too, somelier.
It was a real pleasure meeting you all!

I booked this hotel because I had read that it was the most convenient place to stay in Ljubljana when traveling by car because of its plentiful free parking. Sometime between when I read the reviews and booked the hotel, the Mons began charging 11 euros a day for parking. Considering how far away from the center of town this hotel is, that seemed very expensive. Also, I had read about the convenient shuttle that dropped you off and picked you up in the center of town. I did like this shuttle but it did not run very frequently. In fact I do not think it ran at all between 11 am and 4 pm. Last shuttle is at 10 pm. The shuttle is a small van so when we arrived for the last shuttle, there were already 7 people waiting so we had to wait until he dropped them off and then came back again for us which was not very welcome at all after a long day (though we loved beautiful, magical Ljubljana at night!) One tip -- most European hotels include breakfast in the price. When I booked this one through Expedia, breakfast was not included and seemed a very expensive add-on so I decided not to book and thought I would wait until we got there. I was glad I did. It turns out that there is a very large and good self-service restaurant just below the hotel which we used and enjoyed very much. This hotel is very unique looking, staff was helpful and woody location is very pretty. This review would be more positive if not for my negative feelings about this needless parking charge for paying hotel guests.

My wife and I just came back from Ljubljana where we stayed in Hotel Mons. We booked romantic package as we wanted to run away from everyday stress. Hotel Mons gave us all. Staff is polite, proffesional and they are providing excellent service. Food was great and they have excellent breakfast. Room was spacious with L'Occitane amnenities. After spending a weekend there, stress was gone and we have had only a smile. Thank you Hotel Mons and all staff for this lovely weekend.
