Perfect location for visiting my clients even though a little out of hand if you are staying in Ljubliana only for tourism.
Rooms are big and clean but sometimes they are lacking of towels.
Staff is very helpful and polite. Breakfast is one of the best in the Balkans.
Highly recommended also for the quality/price ratio.

Stayed at Austria Trend for one night on business trip. Easy to find, easy access. Friendly staff. Surprisingly huge rooms, impeccably clean. Comfortable beds. Free WiFi. Good buffet breakfast.
The only negative point is parking in a nearby public garage at 10,- EUR per day.
Would definitely go back.

We enjoyed a three night stay here and found the hotel very pleasant indeed. Comfortable beds, excellent food, and professional but friendly staff. The hotel was nearly empty, but I think this is more due to the world recession than any flaw with the hotel. Just one drawback - they say that the hotel is 30 minutes walk from the old town - more like 60 minutes unless you do a lot of power walking. The hotel is some way out of the old town, but there is a regular bus in, and the hotel runs a shuttle service. This is quite infrequent, so unless you plan it right, may not be all that much use. We did use it a couple of times, and it's a bit quicker than the ordinary bus. It's also a lot friendlier, as the bus drivers in Ljubljana are a big exception to the rule that Ljubljana people are friendly. They reminded me of the Stagecoach bus drivers in my home area of Derbyshire and Greater Manchester - miserable as sin.

This is a modern hotel that appears to cater for business and bus trips as well as independent travellers. Buses stop at the front door and take about ten minutes to get to the centre of the old town. I think this woud be the ideal hotel for those driving around Europe as the hotels in the Old Town seem to have pedestrian only streets in front of them.The rooms are quite large and are fitted out to suit business people. This does not mean they are unsuitable for tourists. There is a wide variety of hot and cold food for breakfast. I would certainl stay here if I were to visit Ljubjana again.
