A hotel like many hotels, room and bed ok, neat and clean. Missed the possibility to make a cup of coffee or tea. And not even a bottle of water in the room. The hotel bar closes very early, which I find not a good service to the customers. I arrived at 22:30, and could get nothing to drink in the hotel, besides tap water. Must say, the breakfast is excellent!

We stayed in City Hotel just for 1 night, but it was very fast to get there from the train/bus station - just 7 minutes walking, and the city old center is just 5 minutes walking. There is a free wi-fi in a lobby. Rooms are clean and tidy. Staff is also helpfuland friendly

I couldn't decide whether to give this hotel 3 or 4 stars. It is a bit pricey but ultimately it's location and comfortable room won out. This is a large hotel so you won't get getting personal service, but it's 3 blocks to the center of town, there are plenty of restaurants near by and the rooms are quiet and comfortable enough.

City Hotel is located within 5 mins walk of the beautiful centre of Ljubljana which is crammed with nice shops, cafes and restaurants around the river area and main square. Don't miss the castle - although I had to. Next time maybe.

The hotel is like a budget hotel in standard and the staff I came across were all very pleasant and efficient. The room was small but had everything I needed as I was travelling alone. Had I been with my wife then she would certainly have commented on the lack of space. Housekeeping was ok but my trash bin still had detritus from a previous occupant of the room. An empty plate and glass were present in the 5th floor lobby for the whole of my stay.

Breakfast was a bit of a factory with most things self-service, coffee not great but plenty to chose from on the food front although the hot buffet wasn't very enticing and suffered from the dreaded heat lamps that seem to make what was probably good food when it came from the kitchen decay in minutes. Service was sharp, polite and attentive however.

93 Euros has some reviewers claiming a lack of value but I thought it was fair enough, given the location in the centre of a stunning capital city and this did include breakfast. Relatively clean and comfortable enough I wouldn't hesitate to use it again as a base to work from. I doubt that I would use it for a romantic break however! I dined elsewhere on recommendation from my host so I can't comment on the restaurant proper.
