Stayed two nights, one at the start and one at the finish of a 2 week trip to Slovenia - location to bus / train and also city centre was key and this hotel was 3-4 mins walk between both so ideal - hotel is probably 3*** by normal UK / Ireland standards but that's not to say it was any way bad - rooms were clean and more than adequate, breakfast good on both mornings with reasonable selection but the stand out feature was the helpful staff - they had someone in the lobby on both stays who's function seems to have been general helper / advisor on all things local and went out of his way to help us on a number of issues, something you don't always see in hotels of this standard - reception staff very courteous and helpful also with perfect English - very good hotel and glad we chose this one, would definitely consider when I do go back to this fabulous city

Stayed here with friends for 3 nights. Excellent facilities, staff very friendly and helpful. Facilities at sister hotel Grand Union were also very good. Conveniently situated from the bus terminal and the centre of town. 5 mins walk for both. Breakfast was very varied and good quality. Fried eggs and mushrooms especially good! Bike hire was exceptional value 1Euro for 2 hours!!

As I spent most of my time at Hotel Central confined to my room with a stomach bug (not their fault) this review's a bit limited. The coke in the minibar was the height of my nutrition and the TV presenters became my friends. The evening entertainment of the English films on Slovenian TV with subtitles was very educational.

The rooms are good but small as you'd expect in a ciy centre 3 star. The breakfast choice, from my brief visits, is very good. The location is excellent just a few minutes walk away from the old town. Helpful staff on reception.

This hotel is clean and tidy and very well located, a straight 5 minute walk down the road to the main square in pretty Ljubljana. Eating and drinking places abound when here. The hotel rooms were of a very good 3* standard. The corridors are bit grim though. Breakfasts were fine. Lobby service was outstanding - friendly and just a bit more personal and personable than in most chains in eastern Europe.

This is a really nice city to cycle around and the hotel provides bikes for a tiny fee. Also the pool at the nearby hotel, Business Hotel is really classy and quiet. Staying at the Central gets you free use of this.
