The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful especially reception and Boris the night auditor. Food was varied and plentiful and the fish at dinner was great. Grouper, Shark and Salmon. Also smoked trout. Good selection, only small complaint is the meat (lamb, veal) seemed to be overcooked and tough, but all-in-all, good selection. They even had saffron to sprinkle on your salad. Pool area was a big hit with the boys. Great view of the lake, village, castle and island church. Spacious room with excellent bathrooms and big balcony. Great package deal at this 4-star hotel with breakfast and dinner, use of pool and one day sauna. Good location in the center of town. Mountain views on all sides. Only a 30 minute drive to Kranjska Gora ski resort. First mini-bar I've seen with "reasonable" prices. Really good value. A really good value!

The hotel is located almost at the lake forefront, easy to find and with a decent parking space. We went there for the New Year's celebration which was not worth the money at all (a jazz band playing for the party, dead atmosphere!). The hotel itself is nice and spacious, as are the rooms - always pay extra for the lake view and a higher floor! The food is quite good and plentifull- buffet for breakfast and dinner. The furniture is a bit outdated but it does its purpose. The pools and spa are really nice and enjoyable - the pool is open from 7am to 11pm, except the saunas which are too small and not possible to book ahead. The staff is very helpful and kind. Don't miss a cream cake at the nearby Grand Hotel Toplice (what a view) and a visit to the Castle from the 12th century. Also, no need to take half-board - plenty of good reastaurants around the lake.

This hotel is situated in one of the most beautiful areas of the world! Definitely a must see if you get the opportunity. Lake, mountains, castles, it has it all. But don't expect much of the hotel. If you want an adult environment this is not the hotel for you. It caters to children (great child pool and play area). Does not have gym or workout area. Does have sauna's however price is steep for entrance ... 11 Euros for three hours! Definitely a rip off! Our in room safe did not work...had to call two separate times to have it fixed. Room was missing light bulps and carpet a bit soiled. There are lots of actitivies and restaurants + casino near the hotel. Stay for these not for the hotel

We were on a month-long tour of The Adriatic and Albania with Adventures Abroad, stayed here two nights. We had a lovely room overlooking the Lake and mountains. The pillow and towels were excellent, an unexpected pleasure when traveling. We were sorry we hadn't time to use the balcony more, although it made a nice place for drying wet clothes. The hotel was nicely located a short walk down hill to the Lake. Breakfast buffet was good. We regretted not taking the complimentary slippers for use in the much more basic hotels in Albania.
