This hotel used to be a royal retreat and was Tito's (former communist Yogoslavian dictator) summer retreat. This has style and class just oozing out of it with killer views of Lake Bled and the Church on the island. Wonderful rooms with large balcony's. The resaurant is a little stuffy but serves very good food. The hotel is set on a large estate-like park. Stay here and you will feel special like all the other famous people who have been visitors over the years.

How often do you stay in Marshall Tito's summer house? Lovely suite with views to die for. Comfortable in an old fashioned way. Great food on the terrace- good service ,good wine.If you like to be a small distance from the crowds and enjoy a beautiful lake with no motor noise this is it.

Cannot fault the location, with glorious lake views and grounds. Our room and the whole place felt clinical though and could do with some updating. Outside breakfast tables were lovely, although we had to hunt down some staff to get coffee. We also stayed at the Hotel Garni in Bled - much preferred it and not just because it was a fraction of the cost of the Vila Bled.
