“Waste of money...cheap but it's not worth the money...”

The worst of the entire stay was the staff- doesn't speak ANY language, doesn't understand ANYTHING, doesn't want to help to ANYONE. I haven't seen so unprofessional people before. I don't know how are they still working there??? Or this is the policy of the hotel itself? Hotel Aramis is located far far away from the downtown. But that's not the problem. You have to pay for the internet unless you don't ask for a cable for the internet - they do not provide you with one unless you don't ask them 10 times to give you the cable. You also have to pay for your breakfast - really POOR breakfast - everything was missing from the plates when we went there at 9AM...We told the brekafast room staff to fill up the plates but they didn't really care about our request. We also had to pay for the parking located just outside the hotel. The only person who was normal in this hotel was actually the cleaning lady who spoke only Polish but was extremely nice every day. The hotel is part of a chain hotels all of them looking the same way - old communist buildings located in the subrubs of the town. The room was nice though. But as soon as you get out of the room and you realize you made the wrong choice with this hotel.

“21 and backpacking - this is moderate luxury. Over 40 and on expenses - no thanks.”

Plus points: It's cheap and the rooms are fairly big.

This is one of a group of 3 hotels sitting together in a suburb of Warsaw. I'm presuming these used to be army or even university accommodation, now moved over to the private sector.

Check-in: Small and slightly chaotic. Couldn't find my reservation at first - I was worried as the city was full and it was the only reason I was staying here.

Rooms: Off big, institutional corridors. Mine had a small entrance area with storage space and a compact bath shower area off.

Bathroom: Mostly clean, but don't expect marble tiles and heated mirrors. Old plumbing, surface mounted pipes - no glamarous.

Beds: Not the comfiest in the world - think mattress and springs. More of a put-me-up Z bed.

There was a TV in the room with some satellite channels. That was about it.

Small, smoky, bar on the ground floor.

If you must stay at the Aramis - spend your time out and about, then return to base to sleep only.

Large breakfast buffet OK for cold food - not sure I would eat the warmed through Wurst.

“Great Value for What I Paid”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 25 October 2009

I was pleasantly surprised by this hotel given what I paid for it. It was easy to get to (bus 148 from the airport, about 35 minutes) and the staff was friendly and spoke English. My room was fairly large with a working TV, comfortable bed, and reasonable bathroom. Although everything was clean, it also seemed old and in need of a renovation. That said, it is a 1-star hotel and probably wouldn't be so cheap if they renovated it. It is a comfortable hotel and fine as a place to sleep, not good if you plan on spending a lot of time in your room. It is located outside of the city center but two buses stop right across the street that take about 10-15 minutes to get into the center. I did not find the inconvenient and a day pass is very cheap, so it's not expensive either. I recommend this to anyone traveling on a budget.

“Nice, clean and cheap”

Very good value for money. Rooms clean, does not have double bads, only single beds put together. Bus station near the hotel. Car parking not free, but you can park for free just outside.

“okay but some problems”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 17 November 2008

I am from Hong Kong and have stayed there for three nights. The first night arrived very late at after 12am from warsaw central station. Originally I know there a bus 501 can go overthere. But it's very difficult to find the bus stop as I walk around and ask many people (most didn't speak english). Afterwards I find a night bus stop which can go through there. But after waiting for about an hour, still cannot see the bus arrived and at last need to go there by taxi (it's extremly expensive). After arrived, I told the receptionist that it's very difficult to find public travel from central station to arrive there, but she still haven't tell me how to arrive there and how to go back to central station.
Most receptionist didn't know english, maybe this place is mostly for poland local traveller. Also no electric adapter. The first night she gave me the room in sixth floor, but it's very dirty and have cigarettes on the floor, also the blanket is dirty. I haven't ask for changing room immediately because so tired and so late but have asked the next day morning. Luckily she can give me another room in thrid floor which is much better. I expect there will have room cleaned overnight but they haven't. This is the first time didn't have room cleaning in hotel. It will not happened although in China.
Bus 501 (need to walk pass the tram station) and 519 (the direction of the tallest building) can drive from central station to this hotel, get off at mangalia street, at hotel main entrance. Bus 116 can get from hotel to old town. But for chopin airport, it need to arrive central station or old town first, then change bus 517. Their bus stop sign are quite clear.
