“Great for short stay in Warsaw”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 16 September 2011

This hotel is one of 3 hotels of different standards. It's located a bit away from the city center, which doesn't mean it's difficult to get there (about 20 minutes by bus). Bus stops are conveniently located a few minutes walk from the hotel. For example, from the Central Station, take bus 519 (towards Powsin Park Kultury), 501 (Stegny) or 130 (Wilanow) and get off at Mangalia stop. Going towards the city, you can take either of these buses and get off at Marszałkowska / Centrum (one stop before Central Station) and you're near all the major attractions Warsaw has to offer.

The staff at the reception desk was polite and helpful.

The room itself (double) was fairly big and very clean. The bathroom had enough space and it was also clean. My room had an open shower (no separation). It was quiet in the hotel, which I greatly appreciated.

Iron was available upon request at the reception desk (I like that because I prefer to iron my own clothes).

The major downside for me was that wireless internet did not work in my room. The only place it should work without any problems was the lobby (which I didn't try).

There was no room service that cleaned my room. I stayed there only 2 nights, and it didn't bother me at all.

Breakfast was OK. There were a few choices. Part of the dining room has a TV, so it's nice to listen to the news in the morning.

I think Aramis hotel is a good place to stay for a short visit in Warsaw.

Room Tip: Ground level rooms have close to zero traffic in the hallway.

“An excellent hotel for a short stay in Warsaw!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 24 April 2011

This hotel was a big surprise as I was expecting a lot worse due to the one * rating of the facility. I could not be more wrong. It was exactly what my hsband and I needed for our short stay in the capital of Poland. Polite staff, great facilities and fab breakfast for the price (dinners are also pretty good actually!). It is next door to a bus stop which takes you directly to all the places of interest (bus number 116). I simply cannot fault it and having stayed in a wide range of hotels before I can say this is a perfect spot for those who like a convenient and basic but clean room to stay a couple of nights. If you are a person who does not venture out much and wants luxury and cisiness of the room more than anything-look elsewhere!

Room Tip: Take line 175 to foksal from the airport. Then 116

“Waste of money...cheap but it's not worth the money...”

The worst of the entire stay was the staff- doesn't speak ANY language, doesn't understand ANYTHING, doesn't want to help to ANYONE. I haven't seen so unprofessional people before. I don't know how are they still working there??? Or this is the policy of the hotel itself? Hotel Aramis is located far far away from the downtown. But that's not the problem. You have to pay for the internet unless you don't ask for a cable for the internet - they do not provide you with one unless you don't ask them 10 times to give you the cable. You also have to pay for your breakfast - really POOR breakfast - everything was missing from the plates when we went there at 9AM...We told the brekafast room staff to fill up the plates but they didn't really care about our request. We also had to pay for the parking located just outside the hotel. The only person who was normal in this hotel was actually the cleaning lady who spoke only Polish but was extremely nice every day. The hotel is part of a chain hotels all of them looking the same way - old communist buildings located in the subrubs of the town. The room was nice though. But as soon as you get out of the room and you realize you made the wrong choice with this hotel.

“21 and backpacking - this is moderate luxury. Over 40 and on expenses - no thanks.”

Plus points: It's cheap and the rooms are fairly big.

This is one of a group of 3 hotels sitting together in a suburb of Warsaw. I'm presuming these used to be army or even university accommodation, now moved over to the private sector.

Check-in: Small and slightly chaotic. Couldn't find my reservation at first - I was worried as the city was full and it was the only reason I was staying here.

Rooms: Off big, institutional corridors. Mine had a small entrance area with storage space and a compact bath shower area off.

Bathroom: Mostly clean, but don't expect marble tiles and heated mirrors. Old plumbing, surface mounted pipes - no glamarous.

Beds: Not the comfiest in the world - think mattress and springs. More of a put-me-up Z bed.

There was a TV in the room with some satellite channels. That was about it.

Small, smoky, bar on the ground floor.

If you must stay at the Aramis - spend your time out and about, then return to base to sleep only.

Large breakfast buffet OK for cold food - not sure I would eat the warmed through Wurst.

“Great Value for What I Paid”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 25 October 2009

I was pleasantly surprised by this hotel given what I paid for it. It was easy to get to (bus 148 from the airport, about 35 minutes) and the staff was friendly and spoke English. My room was fairly large with a working TV, comfortable bed, and reasonable bathroom. Although everything was clean, it also seemed old and in need of a renovation. That said, it is a 1-star hotel and probably wouldn't be so cheap if they renovated it. It is a comfortable hotel and fine as a place to sleep, not good if you plan on spending a lot of time in your room. It is located outside of the city center but two buses stop right across the street that take about 10-15 minutes to get into the center. I did not find the inconvenient and a day pass is very cheap, so it's not expensive either. I recommend this to anyone traveling on a budget.
