“The best Ibis I've stayed in”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 15 December 2011

If you are used to Ibis Hotels and know what to expect well this Ibis is the best of the lot. It's got the biggest rooms of any Ibis I've ever stayed in and the food in the restaurant was well priced and came in good quatitities for the hungry traveller. Its not in the old square as the name suggests but is located about 10 mins walk away. I'll be bak to this place as it ticks all the boxes, clean, cheap, well located and professionally run. Other reviews regarding noise levels are rubbish, alright its located across the road from a football stadium Polonia Warsawa but all in all its a great little spot to stay at a good price in comparison to some of the rip offs in other reportedly 5star hotels.

Room Tip: ask for a room with a balcony, its rare to get one on the Ibis ticket but floor 6 is the place to be

“Short walk from the Old Town”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 December 2011

Despite the name it is not located right in the Old Town but a short walk away. The plugs are not the standard plugs used in Eastern Europe so we asked to borrow an adapter at the front desk. They would not let us borrow one, only sell us one which was a waste of money for us since we would not be able to use it again after staying there. There are several restaurants across the street and also around the corner. Free wifi.

“a bit depressing and v noisy”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 December 2011

I spent 4 nights here on a business trip - the hotel was chosen by someone else.
The basics are all there: a big clean room, good firm bed, big desk, chair, TV, wardrobe area ... clean bathroom, big shower. One night here would have been OK, but the standardised Ibis cheap furniture, basic room décor, and lack of any frills (no biro even!) made it a depressing stay for 4 nights; .

What could be improved is:
- the décor throughout; the restaurant is particularly characterless;
- the strength of the free wifi (only one bar most of the time)
- the quality of the breakfast ingredients (the breads were excellent but other essentials like tea and coffee were of poor quality; fruit salad was tinned)
- and especially the NOISE: I requested and was given a 'queit' room; it was quiet because it was far from the lifts and had only one neighbour - so far so good - but inside the room there is a constant thrum from the air ventialtion / heating system that is impossible to turn off (plus it doesn't actually heat the room very much). Ear plugs were an absolute must in the room I had.

“Decent Hotel for the money”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 December 2011

Essentially, it's the standard IBIS fare. The formula is the same wherever you go.
The staff, although overwhelmed a bit by an overly bureaucratic check in procedure, were helpful in the extreme. Their English was excellent and they couldn't do enough to assist me regarding directions.
The hotel is located only a 10 minute walk from the 'old town' and is on a number of tramcar routes.
One tip: It should take no more than 25zly from Warsaw Central Station. I heard a rumour of someone being charged 150zly (not me!). It's a pretty intimidating station, though they now deploy plenty of security staff.

“Impressions from our hotel in Warsaw”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 25 November 2011

We relished the local breakfast, given professional treatment from the reception staff , been able to consult the computer .
We recommend giving more towels for the clients or at least thicker ones.
