By Terrible (the rating I gave) I mean terrible for the standard it should offer in my opinion. It is a 4 star hotel, and the basics of any 2-4 star hotel are there, plus it does look like a 3-4 star hotel when you walk in the door. The problem is that's where it ends. The reception staff were polite, but the rest appeared discontented. The hotel has a bar that closes at 11pm. Unfortunately there is no other place to go for a drink in the area, expect one place that reception told us was 'unsafe for guests'! So, at 10:55pm we decided to go to the bar (the receptionist said it would be ok) for 1 quick drink. We were told, not politely, that it was too late and that his watch said 11! The room looked ok, with a bathroom. However, the shower was one of those very cheap metal attachments that is connected to the taps. The water pressure from the taps was ok, but the shower was useless. Above the bed was a large fox-hunting poster. Strange choice considering the controvesal nature of this sport. Anyway, then breakfast. This was just about ok. I've had better in other 3 star hotels in Warsaw. The waiter was polite, but clearly not comfortable in this job. He was about 17, and couldn't have looked more out of place in the uniform! Overall, the hotel lacked any kind of atmosphere. I would recommend staying here only if the locatioon happens to be extremely convenient. We left after the first night and moved to a 3 star (and much nicer) hotel in the centre. The difference was instantly noticeable.
