“Good hotel, theWORST location!!!!”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 21 October 2009

Though I've done a lot of traveling, I have to admit I made a huge mistake booking this hotel. Though the Hotel overall experience was quite good (rooms, breakfast, staff...) and it seemed to be the "congress inn" place (there were at least three or four during my 3 night stay), the location is quite inconvenient. It's about 18-20 kms (12-13 miles) from the city and a cab ride is about 45 U$ from downtown! Just too expensive!

I decided to try public transportation, which by train was cheap (U$2.50/each way) and just about 25 minutes from the CENTRUM station (downtown). On my way into town I only waited about 15 minutes (morning), but when I came back, I had to wait around 50-60 minutes for my train to get back there, needless to say it was quite confusing to find the platform itself... (90 minute overall experience). It's only four blocks from the hotel. It was fine, but not worth it!

If you're driving, stay there!!! If not, well... good luck with the cab overspending or with the extra time spent in trains (or buses, even worse!)

By the way, Warsaw it's really worth visiting!

“BRILLIANT!!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 September 2009

Beautiful presentation and exceptional service. The staff were very helpful despite the language barrier. The food was well presented and very yummy. The coffee and cake was also very yummy.

“Very Weak 4 Stars”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 22 May 2006

By Terrible (the rating I gave) I mean terrible for the standard it should offer in my opinion. It is a 4 star hotel, and the basics of any 2-4 star hotel are there, plus it does look like a 3-4 star hotel when you walk in the door. The problem is that's where it ends. The reception staff were polite, but the rest appeared discontented. The hotel has a bar that closes at 11pm. Unfortunately there is no other place to go for a drink in the area, expect one place that reception told us was 'unsafe for guests'! So, at 10:55pm we decided to go to the bar (the receptionist said it would be ok) for 1 quick drink. We were told, not politely, that it was too late and that his watch said 11! The room looked ok, with a bathroom. However, the shower was one of those very cheap metal attachments that is connected to the taps. The water pressure from the taps was ok, but the shower was useless. Above the bed was a large fox-hunting poster. Strange choice considering the controvesal nature of this sport. Anyway, then breakfast. This was just about ok. I've had better in other 3 star hotels in Warsaw. The waiter was polite, but clearly not comfortable in this job. He was about 17, and couldn't have looked more out of place in the uniform! Overall, the hotel lacked any kind of atmosphere. I would recommend staying here only if the locatioon happens to be extremely convenient. We left after the first night and moved to a 3 star (and much nicer) hotel in the centre. The difference was instantly noticeable.

“Difficult from the centre of Warsaw”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 17 July 2005

A really nice stay, once we had found it! Great breakfast with good coffee, the lobby and rooms were spacious, new and clean and those on reception were only too happy to give advice on getting in and out of Warsaw, together with the best way to reach Krakow on public transport and most importantly, which ticket window out of 20 at Warsaw Central station to buy tickets from!

The only negative was not being having a correct email address off the website and hence, not able to recieve directions for public transport prior to going, the information available was only for drivers.

So from the centre, we got a train from 'Warszawa Srodmiescie' in the direction of either 'Lowicz Glowny' or 'Sochaczew' and got off at 'Ozarow Mazwiecki'. The journey took 25 minutes and cost 7.20zlt (About £1.20). From the exit of this train station, we walked straight ahead until we met the main road, turned right and then 200m and we were there, it took less than 5 minutes to walk.

“First Rate Hotel for a good price”

I had the pleasure of staying here on my way to visit my girlfriend in N.E. Warsaw. I had driven all night long from Berlin and was just too tired to go on any longer. I was looking for any Hotel or Motel for miles after passing Poznan and they were not to be found. It is not like the US where there are bright vacancy signs on every other corner. So, at 3am, when I saw the "Best Western" sign I pulled in. I was expecting a Regular "USA" quality one and was pleasantly surprised, or actually amazed would be a better description. This is a fabulous place. First class all the way. I couldn't recommend it any higher. You will not be dissapointed in the Service, Quality or the price.
