A horrible little hotel. It is far from the city center. Once you walk inside, the 40 year-old carpet smells like a cat litter box. Room is small and the beds are horribly uncomfortable. My dog sleeps on a bed than what the room has. I wanted to check out the breakfast spread but it wasn't even opened on time. The hotel is definitely NOT to western standards if you are from the west.

We stayed at the Hotel Praski for 4 nights in August 2005. It was one of the best value hotels i have stayed in. It is a budget hotel, but our triple room was spacious and we had our own bathroom. We had a fab view of the zoo across the road and waking up to a view of polar bears was certainly different. The hotel was a good 15 mintue walk across the bridge to the old town. I certainly wouldnt advise this at night time. Myself and two friends walked across the bridge one afternoon and one of the girls happen to glance over the bridge to the wasteland below and what we observed would certainly not have made for family viewing. After that we always got taxis back and forth to the hotel. There was a tram running outside but we stuck with taxis. There was a fab lebanese restaurant a few doors down.

We stayed here for 3 days. It's got an OK position, right across from the bear enclosure at the zoo. This means about a 20+ minute walk into town. Or catch one of the frequent trams.

You can have rooms with ensuites or shared bathroom. We stayed in both and they were fine. All clean. The bar is friendly. We were warned off the breakfast there and went down the road.

Staff were very friendly and helpful. Recommend highly.

I stayed at the Praski for three days during a very warm November 2006. My friend in Warsaw was kind enough to drive me around and show me the sights so I can't say whether it's convenient to the Old Town. The hotel was clean and had everything you would expect from a budget hotel. The food on the third floor restaurant was good too. My room overlooked the zoo so it was nice to watch the bears.
