We had a long trip from SC to Poznan through Amsterdam and Berlin. But when we finally arrived at the Don Prestige Residence, we were pleasantly surprised! We entered through the "Back Door" but were whisked to the reception desk. There, very able, young, English speaking people helped us settle in. Try to get a room on the top floor. The glass roof cascades down the side of the room. Room was small but very affordable, modern, clean, and had a nice bath. The biggest plus is that you're only 2 blocks away from the center of the old town (don't want to bunk there as it is noisy at night) AND there is a bank on the lower floor of the hotel. Also, there is a money exchange in the very modern mall across the street as well as an ATM. The staff was so helpful that they let us use their private phones for local calls. I purchased a 20 Zloty chip and we'd use their phone with our chip. Breakfast was American style. Transportation to all the sites was just outside the door (2 Zlotys or 80 cents got you 2 hours on the tram). Can't say enough nice things about Poznan or this hotel.
