The location is excellent - within easy walk of both the central station and the old town. The staff spoke excellent English and could not have been more helpful.
There was free internet on a computer in the lobby.
The room was quiet but unfortunately it did smell of smoke.
Considering how expensive Polish hotels are, this was reasonable. They also had twin beds, which are not aways easy to get in Poland.

Visited this hotel as a City Break (whilst husband away!) Read loads of reviews and, it certainly lived up to them. The Royal Hotel is a cosy hotel, centrally placed and full of character. It only takes about 10 minutes to drive from the airport to the hotel (under 20 pzl - about £4.00), and is about 10 minutes easy walking to the old town centre. The staff (apart from one moody blonde) were lovely - especially Joanna (long dark hair and pretty), who was very helpful. My friend and I had a twin room on the first floor which overlooked the little courtyard - v. quiet. The room was quaint and well set out too as rather than the beds being side-by-side, the room was a vague sort of 'L' shape, so we had some privacy. Breakfast was good with a variety of continental meats and cheeses, together with hard (well almost) boiled eggs, baked beans and strange looking sausages. The dark bread and the jams were gorgeous too ! Only tiny complaint was that the hotel did not have a lift. Other than that a very pleasant stay and I would recommend this hotel!

A reasonable hotel in Poznan situated between the railway station and the Old Town. I stayed there because the Hotel Brovaria in the Old Town square was full and my colleague didn't want to stay in a chain hotel (Novotel, Sheraton etc.) . The Royal is OK, reasonably priced, situation OK, very quiet as it is situated in a courtyard off a main road and the breakfast was fine with lots to choose from. There seemed to be quite a few business people there and with only one desk and what seemed quite a lengthy check out process it did take me a rather frustrating amount of time to check out. I stayed in a small single room on the top floor. It was OK but nothing special. I didn't notice any air con but I didn't need it as it wasn't that warm when I was in Poland. The room really was a single with quite a narrow single bed, no bath but a shower, TV, desk, wardrobe and window onto courtyard.

Very good location in Poznan, I was very pleased with the friendly,effiecient and warm service . The hotel is very nice and very clean.The continental breakfast was very good and the hotel is situated in the heart of the city,close to Old Part (Stary Rynek)
