Poor rooms, old postsoviet union hotel, a'm not satisfied. My friends also didn't like it

I was in Poznan for a week long business trip. The company put me here for the week. I had no prior knowledge of the hotel before arriving.

The hotel lobby is huge and spacious. Check in and staff were very friendly and helpful and spoke great english. The lobby downstairs and restaurant on the 1st floor have free WiFi and reception was GREAT everywhere. It was nice to be able to do some work or chat with friends while eating breakfast and dinner. The hotel offers WiFi for a charge in the room but it is just as easy to go down to the lobby with your computer and plug in on one of the couches and do your work there.

The room was a standard single bed room. Very small room but i was only there in the evenings and so it provided everything i needed. The mattress was soft but after the first night i slept soundly every night. Very little to no noise from the outside or adjacent rooms.

The room is old and the bathroom is out of date. But for only staying there in the evening after dinner was not a problem. If i had needed more time in the room i would search for something with more space and more comfort. But for a solid nights' sleep; this hotel worked just fine.

The quality of food for breakfast and dinner was amazing! Great staff and the food was always plentiful. The dinner entrees were very good.

Overall, if you are staying a couple of days and just need a place to sleep and have a good meal; with great service, this hotel is worth the money. I would stay here again.

I use to stay at Orbis Polonez during my business trip to Poznan, how may i see its a Soviet Union time building but despite that my room Superior DBL was big, clean and well eqipped(was pleased to see a bottles of clean water and tea/coffee facilities in the room).Bathroom was also large and clean.
Not so close to the Staroe Miest (City center) but location not the worst one.
Also you can easely get it from railway station by bus № 68 right to the hotels door!

Good price and an ok location. No AC and green curtains which let the sun in in the morning. No WIFI in the room. Exorbitant expensive breakfast. Construction on the other site of the road was very loud from 7 am. Smallish rooms. In general old, but ok.

Good for the price we paid, but it could be much better.

Bus 68 goes rigth to the train station in just 8 minutes. You can walk to downtown in just 10 minutes.
