I stayed at the hotel on two non-consecutive nights while driving from and returning to the Ukraine. I booked the first night in advance via internet. The hotel blends in with the town square well on the outside and is also nice on the inside. It seemed a bit lacking in atmosphere but there were not many guests that night and maybe this contributed to the feeling.
Check-in nice and simple and I was in my room within a couple of minutes of arrival. Having read previous reviews here I booked a suite and found it to be really good value for money.
A couple of small points would be the rather tired looking condition of the carpet and the fact that my bedspread appeared to have a cigarette hole in it!
Additionally, the outside temp on first night was -10C and the main room heating didn't appear to be too efficient in getting the room temp up beyond about 16 - 17C, which is ok for sleeping, but not for the time leading up to the point where I hit the (quite comfortable) bed. An additional electrical heater had been made available, which helped if you sat close to it (heat elements working, fan not).
Breakfast the following morning was served in the restaurant and was very good. Plenty of it and all fresh.
Overall, I was pleased and decided to book the hotel for the return journey also. I was pleasantly surprised to be given the same price as I had paid via internet for the advanced purchase (booked some weeks early).
The staff were efficient, courteous and helpful in all areas.
On the second night I ate an evening meal in the restaurant. Limited choice and I wasn't overly impressed by the quality of food either. Service was fine though. Breakfast the following morning was now served buffet style, in a larger room. I guess it was due to the increased number of guests and, in truth, standard for a hotel of this type, but disappointing having had the better service some days before.
All in all though, I would certainly recommend this hotel and expect to use it more frequently myself during Ukraine-Poland journeys.
