First ever hotel review after returning from cosmetic surgery. Spent one week post op. The rooms are designed for comfort and practicality for the walking wounded.. electronic beds and blinds (state of the art!) walk in, "wet room" style and practical for both the disabled and the lads after a "bender". Although there are no restaurant facilities, there are some brilliant mid-range restaurants within minutes walking, including the best Polish/Lithuanian restaurant in the guide book. The Rynek is five minutes away on foot and the hotel is well placed to avail yourself of the brilliant tram service.
Girls on reception are so helpful and had a very refreshing sense of humour (something that was a bit short in winter Wroclaw!)...
Poland will never be a chosen destination again for me.. be warned of the EXCESSIVE amount of Salt, Sugar and Fat in local products.. it has an incredible purgative affect after surgery to your stomach area!
I would urge the Manager to change the English translation of "kielk" on the breakfast menu from "germs" - serving these up in a health spa, will put clients in recovery off! (smile).
Also, American Express DOES NOT DO NICELY in Poland.. at least Travellers Cheques do not. Having spent over 2 hours in a bank trying to withdraw money... believe me Polish Bureaucracy and monetary policy will put you off the country for life!
