Came here for work; my company often uses this hotel, but there are 2 others in the vicinity that are more central to the town square (Reynik).
I'm going to be blunt, and not wax philosophical here since I was travelling for work, not for fun:
- Lobby is generally busy during the day, with lots of people coming/going and hanging out in the couch area. You will need to be almost at the reception desks before getting an interested response from staff, and sometimes even then they were hesitant. (I'm not the typical person you see in Wroclaw, however, being brown, so this may have been why.) One night I ordered late night room service, having returned from work literally around midnight, tired, and having missed my dinner. The gentleman at reception was irritated with me for ordering my meal, and apparently had to deliver it to my room himself - he banged on my door, and delivered the food in a sullen way. It is not my fault if you don't have proper staffing for late night meal service.
- Separately, only 50% of the front desk staff spoke English easily. Another 20% managed with us gesturing or fewer basic words. Luckily on check-in one lady did; in later encounters, multiple times staff generally asked another team member to assist me. I have no illusions about the fact I'm in another country; I do wonder at a hotel with the Radisson name targeting business travellers, and a city featuring more expats and lots of global businesses that the hotel does not put more effort into language requirements for front-desk staff.
- During the evening, people definitely like to have fun and be rowdy at the bar. You may hear them in the halls drunk on the way to their rooms (or that may have been people who weren't at the bar but were drunk elsewhere). So expect evening action in this hotel lobby.
- Restaurant has an amazing buffet. Very large, very generous, lots of choices, great service. Had dinner there once and the food, while overpriced, was pretty good. Not the largest servings.
- Staying in winter, I found my central air unit acting oddly. It seemed to be on a perpetual state of light heat, so that late in the night I couldn't sleep with the blankets. It did this even when I turned the temperature down. Not a big deal. Travelling to other buildings and locations around Wroclaw, I think since it's winter it's just the local standard to keep the heat on super high.
- Bathroom was wonderful. Very large. Lower lip of the shower curb is too low / bottom of the glass doors is too high; led to water getting on the floor when showering. That being said, the shower pressure was wonderful, no problem with plenty of hot water for long showers, even later in the morning.
- Room comes with a pants press / valet stand.
- Tiny TV, with about 3 English channels (news) - this is standard around Wroclaw. Be sure to use in-room internet to entertain yourself with things to read/watch.
- Room left in the fridge for your beverages / snacks.
- Great view of cute courtyard, shared by multiple buildings.
- The bed is standard european in quality - not intended for luxury, pure minimalist. However, nice and large - I think it was a queen. You get a squishy slender mattress on a hard stand. For my upgraded business class room - 2 pillows. I asked for extra pillows - I was delivered one. If you have a bad back - come prepared.
- Location is not a "quick walk" anywhere. A walk into Reynik, if you are not a fast walker and like to take in scenery and not walk like you're in a hurry, is more like 20 min.
