We chose this hotel based on the fact it was near to the train station and walking distance from the city centre. It made our lives a lot easier when we arrived in Wroclaw with heavy backpacks.
The hotel is what I'd describe as a 'business hotel', especially with the 'lift music' that made us laugh everytime we went up to our room. Reception staff were helpful and allowed me to use one of their safes to store my valuables.
I wouldn't recommend purchasing breakfast, it is very expensive. Instead make use of the local cafes.
There is an excellent street behind the hotel full of restaurants and bars that are well worth a visit.

In Scandic you get two advantages: 1) being near the center, 2) all you need in an hotel: no defects. Let's start from point 1. Not only you can get into the very center of Wroclaw, magnificent city with an urban appeal remembering her german past, with a pedestrian, amusing center full of youth coming from the multiples universities existing there. You have also the access to one of the best public transportation system I experienced. In front of the hotel there's a tram stop. All the city is very well interconnected and you can get your ticket directly ON THE BUS or ON THE TRAM through automatic ticketing machines . Hotel really has no defects, maybe the reception personnel could smile more....

I stayed for 1 night recently using some SAS Eurobonus points that were about to expire. Good standard business hotel in prime location near the main train station & old city. Rooms well appointed & good choice of English language tv channels. Room was very quiet even though I was overlooking the busy street in front of the hotel. No bottles of toiletries provided in the room only shampoo & hand wash so you do need to bring your own. Pillows were too soft for my liking but they provided extra on request. Breakfast was an intetesting array of western/Polish/Scandinavian dishes with many choices available on the buffet. The only negative thing with the breakfast was on the dot of 10 everything was started to be cleared away. So if you are planning a lie in & to have breakfast later you may be out of luck. I think out of courtesy they should have asked me if I had wanted anything else from the buffet before it was cleared away. Overall this hotel is a good choice for a standard business class Hotel in Wroclaw.

The hotel seems to be brand new. The rooms are nice and comfortable. The breakfast is tasty and contents everything you need. Just few hundred meters away you find the old part of the city with lots of good restaurants and of course restored beautiful buildings. The bar is a nice place to hook up before dinner. The gym has equipment for cardio/running, but for other purposes the possibilities are poor. For a stay in Wroslaw Scandic Hotel seems for me to be a safe chose because you know what you get. It is a parking lot connected to the hotel as well, but I did not check that facility. It is a shopping mall with exclusive shops just 100 meters away.
