The hotel is modern and welcoming with great facilities, including free computer access in the business centre.
Speaking of service, it was always first class. Everyone spoke English very well, was upbeat and smiling, knowledgeable and helpful. Indeed, it's hard to imagine this used to be Communist run hotel with surly arrogant staff .
The breakfast buffet was very good and It was constantly being replenished.

This is the only place in Legnica if you want to experience ****star hotel.

After a 48 hour train trip with three kids, a stable and manger would have looked five star, quite frankly, but this hotel was much better than that! The helpful staff gave us a great room which was spacious enough for five of us, for a reasonable rate (although everyone in Legnica itself thought we were millionaires because we stayed there)
The best thing is the breakfast. It has everything you can think of and a lot more. I would have stayed for hours if I hadn't had under 5s wriggling around and dancing on the tables.
Polish TV is quite entertaining, with good movies on the English channels, the hotel is central enough and walking distance to the train station.
We loved it.
The only downside is when we opened the windows at night, there was this insane, regular beep. We tried for ages to work out what it was - and only realised en route back to the train station - an old communist-style traffic crossing nearby has a loud beep before someone tells you in terse Polish that it is now TIME TO CROSS THE ROAD. But that is not the hotel's fault.
