“Modern, good quality hotel in Karpacz”

This is not a new hotel in Karpacz but don't be scared by how it looks from outside. It is fully refurbished inside and rooms are high quality.

The location is quite outside of the city center. It's either 30 min walk or short car ride. But you won't be bored, there is swimming pool and fitness centre on-site (included in room price). Hotel restaurant is good and not overpriced.

I have to praise the staff for excellent service. Each one was friendly and helpful, making it really enjoyable stay.

“Just put the aircon and you will be fine”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 22 July 2010

We stayed there for a weekend. Arrived midnight on Friday, check-in was smooth and we were helped with the luggage. It was extremely hot days (and nights) this July (about 35C during day), so keep in mind that there is no air-condition in the hotel! Lobby areas was over 30C. Hotel is refurbished, rooms are ok - standard size of Mercure.
It used to be hotel from Orbis brand. Usually staff in these hotels is quite "oldish" and thinking from 20 years ago, but I was nicely surprised that in Skalny staff was rather friendly and helpful. Big plus for the management.

Internet is complimentary and works fine. Free parking space is limited, secured costs 25 PLN/night.

Breakfast was regular, some food was not too tasty, but overall you can find something to eat for sure.

Hotel is less than 10 minutes walk to the main street. Even it was a weekend, still there were not so many tourists.

As I mentioned before - no aircon is huge minus for hot season.

Will come back, when visiting Karpacz again, especially with weekend rate of 240 PLN, it is not bad at all.

“Very nice location at polish mountains. good price”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 July 2010

This hotel has changed the status from Orbis to Mercure. Officially it has 3 stars.

The rooms are always clean but they are in old hotel style. a little to small. But I always sleep here well because of climat, fresh air.

The room and especially corridor is to small, no flat tv.

The offer for breakfast is good.

The most important is that this hotel costs in superior room ( king or twin beds with sofa) only 50euro per night.

The reception staff was very kind even if I arrived quite late and they propose theirself a quiet room just near the forest. good behaving, polite.

“Clean,Modern Hotel in Polish Ski resort town”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 28 June 2010

Our travel agent recommened this hotel. Our rooms were large, quiet, clean and well appointed. The Dining room and Bar area was very good. The Pool/spa/whirlpool area is top of the line. The staff were very helpful and we had Mostly English speaking staff and we did not have a problem communicating. We always bring a "Language"Restruant guide book with us whenever we went to eat and that helped. Some staff do have difficulty in restruants and usually they ask an English speaking staff to assist them or ask for an "English" Menu.We would stay at this hotel again.Reasonable at $68 per night, breakfast is extra;parking was $7 per day.
Great little town with shopping, other restruants and a great ride on a ski lift.
