This is our third time staying at the Protea and it is wonderful to see that they are growing and improving. The parking area has been enlarged so that cars are kept in a gated area. Breakfast is now a buffet, before it was served at your table in the restaurant...they offer scrambled eggs upon request and we highly recommend them, they were so tasty! The rooms remain clean and comfortable and very affordable. They also offer shopping after hours because they have items for sale in the reception area as well as two other rooms in the hotel. One room is solely pottery, the other has dried flowers, really unique metal bottle holders, carved wooden boxes, carved wooden angels and other miscellaneous items. Every staff member that we spoke to understood some English, a definite plus for us! We had dinner in the restaurant one evening and just as before the food was delicious, portions are not large, but very good and inexpensive. I would never think of staying anywhere else if we went to Boleslawiec again.

Great Serrvice and location - We loved this hotel and would return in a minute. We were 5 women on a mission to buy pottery and have a good time. Walked to all the pottery shops and factories from this hotel ( except for one) which we took a cab to. however we are all walkers!!! They helped us get a driver to take us to Dresden for our flight home. You might request a room towards the back as we had an obnoxious dog barking very early in the am. Food was very good, internet service and a nice change from all the usual pensions.

I have stayed at this hotel 4 times now and have enjoyed it everytime. On one of our visits I called ahead to say that the room I reserved for my father and mother needed to be a room that they could get to without taking a lot of stairs because my father had fractured his leg. Not only did they give me a room that he only had to take two stairs down to, but also gave them a handicapped room, which gave him more rooom to move around.

Every other time we have been there it has been great. The food is awesome. Try the "chef salad". It is great, but not your typical American chef salad.

I will stay here every time I come to Poland.

I have stayed at the Hotel Protea 5 times and have always had a relaxed, very enjoyable stay. The staff is friendly and the charming owners are onsite daily. The rooms are immaculate and comfortable, as are the private, modern bathrooms in every room. My car has always been safe in their locked parking lot. The food is fresh and delicious; cooked by the owner herself! I always leave Protea feeling like I've had a week-long get-away even though it has only been 3 days!
